ELM PARK RED FUTURES SALE 2007

A Seller’s Success…A Buyer’s Value

Sheboygan Falls, WI – Elm Park Farms, Ltd. of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin announces the results of the successful 15th annual Elm Park Red Futures Sale. The collection of industry leading Red & White and Red-Carrier Holstein females, males, and embryo lots were featured at the Cow Palace in Kaukauna, Wisconsin on Saturday, March 31, 2007.

A record-breaking crowd participated in 19 lots selling over $5,000, 34 lots selling over $4,000, 1 lot selling at $40,000, and 2 lots selling over $10,000! These select Red & White breeding animals and embryos were sold to 14 states from California to New York to Texas, also to Canada, Argentina, Switzerland, Germany and Denmark! Embryos averaged $597 (per embryo) on 185 lots. The top embryos (from the 97 Pt Tamara x Talent*RC) sold for $1,600 (per embryo). The 14 bull lots averaged $1,714 and the prices ranged from $1,200 to the top selling bull at $2,300.

The top selling female was Lot #1, Elm-Park Trillium-Red-ET, from Elm Park Farms, Ltd. Trillium-Red is the Red daughter from New-Visions Rubens Tory*RC sired by Valleyriver Joyboy-Red! Trillium-Red sold with a 20-embryo contract. Trillium-Red sold for $40,000 and was purchased by Swiss Genetics Red – the Von Kanel family represented by Markus Von Kanel of Lenk, Switzerland in partnership with Elm Park Farms, Ltd. Sheboygan Falls, WI.

The 2nd top selling female was Lot #74, C-Haven Salto Scarta-ET*RC, an April 2006 Salto*RC heifer out of Mer-Gold Tal Scarlet-Red-ET. Scarta*RC was sold to Thomas Priest & Nick Raggi of Maryland for $10,400!

This year’s sale again featured the unique telo-auction possibility for buyers worldwide to become live bidders via an exclusive toll-free telephone auction connection! Allowing the bidders the ability to listen to the auction live and place their bids live!
