Stephanie Stout Earns An International Scholarship

TRANS-WORLD GENETICS, LTD. AND RSH ANNOUNCE THE POPLAR GROVE, IL NATIVE, STEPHANIE STOUT EARNS AN INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP TO NEUMÜMSTER, GERMANY.

SHEBOYGAN FALLS, WI – Trans-World Genetics, Ltd. (TWG) announces that young Holstein enthusiast, Stephanie Stout will be traveling from her hometown in Poplar Grove, Illinois to Neumümster, Germany in May 2005 and staying until August 2005. Stephanie will be staying in Neumümster under the 2002—founded International Scholarship that is sponsored by Trans-World Genetics, Ltd., of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin and their partners at Rinderzucht Schleswig-Holstein eG (RSH) in Neumümster, Germany.

Stephanie Stout is 21 years old and is the daughter of Brian & Sue Crull of Poplar Grove, IL. She is currently attending the University of Wisconsin – Platteville. Stephanie will graduate in May of 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Science in Agribusiness and Animal Science.

Stephanie is involved in many activities and has many responsibilities. She is the 2005 President of the Sigma Alpha Agriculture Sorority; in 2003 she was the UW Student Ambassador, and she is a member of the National Honor Society. She has received many awards; a few include National R&W Holstein Jr. Breeder Award, she is a National R&W Holstein Albrecht Scholarship recipient and was the Illinois Holstein Duchess.

Stephanie will be spending her scholarship time doing research projects for the University of Kiel, Germany and doing practical work for the breeding organization, RSH; which will include farm-to-farm work with classifiers and herd mating specialists. Stephanie’s experience will also give her the opportunity to assist at the German National Show in Oldenburg, Germany.

The TWG & RSH International Scholarship is designed for students between the ages of 18 and 24. The Scholarship has several main goals including, gaining a better understanding of international breeding, production methods, evaluation of dairy bovine type traits, exploring the administration and selection procedures for dairy livestock breeding, as well as to further the international cooperation and advancement of livestock breeding for the future of the dairy breeding industry.
